THE TEMPLE OF WATCHMAKING
Inaugurated in November 2001, the Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva houses one of the largest and most prestigious watch collections in the world. With some 2,500 watches, automatons, precious objects and miniature portraits on enamel, it offers a fabulous journey through five centuries of Geneva, Swiss and European watchmaking art - as well as a complete panorama of Patek Philippe production since 1839. Not to mention a library of more than 8,000 works on time measurement.
AN INCREDIBLE COLLECTION
The Patek Philippe Museum was born of a passion, that of Philippe Stern, Honorary President of the Manufacture, who has gradually built up one of the marvellous watch collections. Its ambition is to bring the great art of watchmaking to a broad audience, to contribute to the influence of fine watchmaking in Geneva and to encourage the transmission of this heritage to younger generations.
MORE THAN 500 YEARS OF WATCHMAKING HISTORY
More than a museum dedicated to one brand, the Patek Philippe Museum is a unique place in the world to discover five centuries of watchmaking heritage, as well as a reflection of all the decorative arts traditionally associated with watchmaking - engraving, enamelling, setting, guilloché, etc.
